Great movie to teach kids about bullying (by scottsbride_2008) |
This was a wonderful, heart wrenching movie, that truly showed the consequences that bullying can have on anyone. If you don't think that emotional/mental bullying can be just as damaging as physical bullying, this is a MUST see movie. It shows the effects that name calling and vicious rumors can have on the mental state of a human being. It also gives great advice on how to deal with bullying and it also shows the different ways parents and adults may react to bullying. This movie should be part of the ALL school curriculum's, to teach kids and adults alike what bullying can truly do to <more> |
a teenage girl's life spins out of control because of some nasty rumors (by Drumline16) |
WARNING. SPOILER ALERT.In the movie, somebody makes a fake profile and makes Taylor Hillridge played by Emily Osment, from the Hannah Montana series 's life miserable. Soon, she doesn't know who her real friends are, and who isn't. It feels to Taylor like everybody is out to harm her. Taylor becomes so depressed, she tries to commit suicide. She finds out that her friend Samantha Caldone played by Kay Panabaker, from No Ordinary Family made up the fake James profile. When everyone finds out that Samantha made it all up, they go after her. Surprisingly, Taylor stands up for <more> |
Helping people see the potential problems of teens today (by jbstephenson) |
Watching this movie has brought attention to some problems that teens are facing today that were not apparent to me having just reached adulthood and being between the generation that relies heavily on computers and the generation that cant figure out how to make a smiley face. First the atrocious spelling these kids present is troubling to say the least. Its hard to believe that people don't enforce proper grammar and spelling. They also brought to my attention that teens seem to believe everything that they read no matter how unreliable a source. Teens dropping knowledge bombs about <more> |
Worth a watch (by mickharris) |
It was a lazy Sunday and I was tired of watching the news so I tuned in. A couple of times, I changed the channel because of a commercial break, yet changed back in time to pick up after that break. I thought this was just going to be another watered down ABC family movie; not that there is anything wrong with that. But I was wrong. This movie is well done and at times very painful yet motivating. When I was in the 2nd grade I with a friend called a classmate fatty, not even realizing what I was doing. I just knew that it was getting me attention and a rise out of the kid. He pushed me and <more> |
What are others on about? Amazing movie! (by habbooners) |
I don't get why people say " This movie is unrealistic blah blah " When it is, they also say that why would someone this pretty get bullied? ANYONE can be bullied, no matter who or what they are. I also see people commenting on how no one would commit suicide after all this, well yes they would. I've often thought of suicide due to bullying, it really does hurt. Some people just don't know anything. In other news, the movie was truly amazing, it was very inspirational, a true message for people and a heart-warming movie. I would watch this movie anytime, anywhere, it <more> |
must watch for teenagers... (by tanveerfcg-914-578372) |
this movie is not exactly an entertainer...but these kind of movies are necessary for teenagers ... no matter what country, region or place, internet is not new now, and kids any minor getting exposed at an early age might not have enough emotional strength to handle pressure...specially at that age, when they think that they have grown up and but they are not, they might feel alone or cornered out. showing this kind of movie does serve a purpose more than flimsy entertainment.I liked the character of Samantha, where she accepts her mistake and apologizes... it was quite heroic .... people <more> |
Disgusted with people (by Speakxkatelyn) |
The fact that people are giving this movie a negative review because the plot is unrealistic need to pay attention to the words at the end of the movie. It states that non of this would have been possible without the work of tina Meier and I can't remember what but they bring up Megan meiers name. Megan meiers was a 13 year old girl who was friended on myspace by a fake profile named Josh Evans. He told her how perfect she was and lured her to tell him her secrets. He then turned on her and released all the secrets to the people on myspace and called her a fat ugly slut and that the <more> |
Moving and touching story. (by mickeyblue264) |
I did not think that this movie was going to be any good when I first saw previews, but I was curious. The story was moving and riveting. It shows the truth to bullying and that people will not stop no matter what. This shows how people will make you a victim and they do not realize what it is doing to people. Suicide hits home for me. My best friend has tried many times to kill herself and a kid in my school committed suicide not even a year ago. This movie gave me a look at what they could be going though and what I want to stop people from going though. People are that vicious and this <more> |
Amazing. (by lostconfused22) |
Honestly this movie is great and the fact that people are actually saying that it's hilarious sickens and worries me. This movie follows Taylor as she deals with being bullied online and is eventually pushed to her breaking point. She posts a video online saying that she sees no need to live anymore and tries to attempt suicide. Sure the bullies are slightly animated but things happen exactly like this all the time. All it takes are a couple horrible comments and people easily fall into depression, I've seen it first hand. This movie shows just how bad cyberbullying is and how far it <more> |
