First of all I have to say it is so hard to write a review on this site , that being said this movie is awesome it is so young single life as I remember..very funny. I would recommend it highly.. Reminded me of younger days Love the acting I didn't know LA had a subway Just goes to show ya the people you persive to be scary turn out to be the nicest Not to say you shouldn't be careful Everyone especially women need to carry a cell phone I would let my granddaughters see this with me Some beautiful pictures of LA The whole thing just made me smile Xoxoxo |
If you like Elizabeth Banks, you'll love this movie, period. (by rploui) |
I love this movie and I love E. Banks -- watching the DVD again and again. What's wrong with the rest of you people? This is not a dumb movie. Most of the celebrated box office success comedies are dumb movies, IMHO, but not this one which of course was a box office failure . Yes, the movie is basically about watching Ms. Banks walk around, but what a device. A+ for the idea. This amuses me like nothing since AFTER HOURS 1985, 7.7 and REPO MAN 1984, 6.9 , and touches my heart in places Pookie like TANK GIRL 1995, 5.2 cult classic . Oh yeah, people hated those movies at the time, <more> |
I give it a 10 FOR FUN HOT COMEDY (by megan066) |
I cannot stop looking at Elizabeth Banks. I thank her trainers. I thank her Make Up Crew - the hot slutty make up that was still there the next day was perfect. I love her big blue eyes and big hair. OK, so you know I am biased. I usually watch movies that have great dramatic meaning, ie, Doubt, The Master.....you get the idea. It gets more esoteric but I wanted to mention a couple many have heard of. OK, I knew this was a screwball comedy. And I laughed a lot. I needed that and combined with her beauty, talent and barely there dress....WOW. She is in constant movement and trying to reach her <more> |
If you're looking for a good time, pick up the lady in the yellow dress (by db-beurylaw) |
For the first 20 minutes, I was bored and not impressed. I was just about to give up on it, when funny things began to happen. Similar to "After Hours" a movie I really like. But I have to say that "Walk of Shame" is better and funnier. I am writing because I am so offended by the negative reviews. Some people have no sense of humor. Yes the movie is raunchy, but that's the point. A nice girl, Megan Miles Elizabeth Banks gets thrown into the underworld of LA and has hilarious adventures to find her way out. It wouldn't work if she were properly dressed and <more> |
Well worth a watch! (by Thomasdinnegan75) |
Before watching this movie I didn't really know what to expect, I only decided to watch it because of Elizabeth Banks; however I'm so glad that I did! It is amazingly funny and entertaining. It's such an enjoyable watch and sweet movie, full of LOL moments. People who criticize it for being what it is kind of confuse me, it's obvious what it is from the advertisements, so why watch it if it's just a 'silly and stupid' film?It is a lot more than that, it is clever and witty with some excellent lines and references throughout. Even the opening is hilarious. <more> |
Smart & funny! Ignore the negative reviews. (by jean-997-404147) |
Despite all the negative reviews I watched this movie and I really loved it! I'm normally really into deep indie movies and Ari Kaarismaki type cult classics, but I liked the smart witty atmosphere in this movie. Elizatbeth Banks is casted perfectly for this role and she does a great job looking awesome in that tight yellow dress and doing comedy in a really laid back style. The smartly written dialogs are mostly very hilarious with lots of small witty gems hidden in them.I agree: the cat scene was a little too much, but for the remaining part this was one of the most funny and <more> |
Hysterical, smart and sexy (by jt19992012) |
Forget every negative review you may have read. This is a delightful film from start to finish. It's hilarious, first of all, and second of all, it's about people you actually care about. What a refreshing change! With echoes of "The Out of Towners" and "After Hours," the movie works mainly because of Elizabeth Banks's character. She's funny, she's likable, she's sexy... what more could you want out of a screen heroine?! The writing, for the most part, is realistic and smart. A well-structured story full of unpredictable events and offbeat <more> |
Enjoyable and Funny! (by bergie25) |
If you know what you're getting into, and you're in a good mood, this is a fun & funny movie. Just don't expect Casablanca or The Godfather from Elizabeth Banks in a tight yellow dress. It felt a little sitcom-like at times, going from one hijinx into the next hijinx, but Elizabeth Banks is gorgeous and seeing her run around in a little yellow dress alone was worth the price of admission. The best part? Her interactions with the "crack house" fellas. Hilarious! And the commercial jingle thrown in? Had me gut-laughing out loud.I recommend this .... provided you know <more> |
Surprisingly Enjoyable! (by smohi-703-156979) |
Wow. I had a lot of thoughts before watching this movie. Recent comedy movies have been nothing but disappointments. But I must say, I was pretty taken aback and this turned out to be one enjoyable movie. The plot is simple. Meghan is a reporter and dreams of becoming a news anchor. but the NEWS group choose another anchor over her. Meghan's friends takes sad meghan out on a club night and gets drunk. Meghan have a night stand with a bartender/writer and leaves his home out in the middle night. She gets the news that News group have dropped the previous anchor and now wants her. <more> |
