Best Possession Movie Since The Exorcist (by jedmiers) |
Are we living in such a jaded time that we don't know a good horror movie when we see it? One reviewer said we've seen it all before. What did he expect, its a movie about possession...possession cases due tend to exhibit the same behaviors...contorted body, speaking in different voices/language, violence etc. The Exorcist is my favorite movie of all time...there has never been another movie on demonic possession that even comes close to capturing the terror that this movie brought to theaters in the 70's. The Devil Inside, though not as good as the Exorcist, was pretty damn <more> |
Excellent!!! (by robbdogg913) |
Wow, I can't believe people actually talk bad about this movie. First of all most movies deserve at least a little respect. To say such things as "It was more funny than scary" or "This movie played off of some other movie" is rather childish. I mean I don't see your name on any director chair right? Just food for thought.I do agree, I wouldn't go see this movie in the theater, but that's my honest opinion. Since my wife gets terrified by devil movies she of course passed on this one. I watched this movie at midnight, alone, in the dark, and let me tell you <more> |
good (by dave-ross390) |
i watched this film/documentary and regardless others say what a load of rubbish it wasn't, other was exspecting somethink like paranormal activity stle but its a film/documentary and i given it full 10/10, from the start to the end the story is good and gets better, Suzan crowley who plays the devil inside plays a very good part and done her homework as it was done brilliant. if you havet yet seen this i advise to see it, its now on DVD i believe well so it says on here IMDb so off you go to the shops and buy it coz you wont be disappointed unless you think its going to be like what i <more> |
This Movie Does NOT Deserve This Crap (by amccullough141) |
I have been a mega horror movie fan my entire life. I have been using this site for many years and have never felt compelled to share my feelings about a movie until today. I have a deep love and appreciation for horror movies and I am very careful about which ones I spend money on in theaters watching. Not just because there are so many released every year that aren't worth the money to go see but because I can't stand the teenagers that ruin the experience in the theater for me so I just don't go most of the time. Just like all of you people, I read the terrible reviews given to <more> |
Superb (by pahaake) |
First, I have to agree with the other positive reviews. You have to like this style of film, if you don't then then you shouldn't have gone to see it in the first place.Second, I am a fan of all three PA movies - but I actually found this one better. The look and feel is somehow more believable. The acting is far above anything I expected, and even the editing and direction were quite for what this film is.If you enjoy this type of film, it is easily as good as any that came before it. Lots of tension, quite a few good surprises, and of course a disappointing ending. But I supposed <more> |
Fantastic, best comedy of the year (by cthughes) |
OK OK so people don't like this movie. That's because they don't get it. Falling somewhere between the genius of Mel Brooks and the Big Lebowski, yet it maintains it's horror genre dignity. I didn't realize it was a comedy until the one liners starting cropping up. Halfway through the movie I almost choked while holding back my explosive laughter and no one else got it. Take for instance the priest Ben who explains how he got into the ministry, "I think it was my uncle, he was my favorite." The dirty mind begins to look out for these subtle jokes. Again, a few <more> |
Surprised by all the bad reviews (by snowskiman) |
I'm glad I didn't listen to all the bad reviews of this movie. I own a commercial Haunted House and this movie was entertaining. I don't scare very easily and there were several times where it startled me. Was worth the money. At the end of the movie, there was a scene that was silent and you could hear a pin drop to the carpet in the crowded movie theater no candy wrappers, talking or noise from the audience . My haunted house bases it's scenes on scary movies and I got a couple of good ideas from the movie. One thing I didn't care for was that the movie was trying to <more> |
Did I see the same movie that you guys did? (by castathinshadow777) |
First off, I'm not a 15 year old girl who just saw her first scary movie. Second, I really enjoy the intimacy and tone of found footage movies.I am shocked to see so many negative reviews about this movie. The trailer was not misleading? I'm confused about some of the negative hype. If you are saying there is no real ending to this movie, or that you don't understand, you need to see the movie again. It very clearly explains itself. I really enjoyed the ending. I really don't like hype, but I gave into it when people started posting the trailer everywhere. When it came out, <more> |
Scary, Innovative and Worth It (by bryan-banowetz) |
"The Devil Inside" focuses on Isabella Rossi as she tries to figure out the mysterious murdering spree of her mother 20 years before. She later finds out that it was during an exorcism that her mother killed three people. After being arrested, Maria Rossi is sent to a mental hospital for the criminally insane in Rome and Isabella travels there to figure out what is wrong with her mother. The problem is more than just a mental illness, but evil itself incarnate in her. My first thought before seeing this movie was that it was going to be another one of those "exorcism" <more> |
