Great Horror-Comedy from King (by Enrique-Sanchez-56) |
Anyone who can seriously watch this movie and not take it as a more than just a fun horror romp is reading too much into the name of KING.Stephen KING has a sense of humor, folks. Otherwise, he wouldn't have concocted such a nutty yarn as this! If you take him absolutely seriously, then you miss a wonderful part of him. Probably the part that I most admire, in secret.I thoroughly enjoyed watching this. The story was fun, the story realistic enough for me. The make-up was fun to look at. The weight loss, the diseases, the violence...it was all so comical, as it SHOULD BE! As a genre, <more> |

Thinner! (by Movie Nuttball) |
Thinner is a very good horror film that has a good cast which includes Robert John Burke, Joe Mantegna, Lucinda Jenney, Michael Constantine, Kari Wuhrer, John Horton, Daniel von Bargen, and Stephen King! The acting by all of these actors is very good. Burke is really excellent in this film. I thought that he performed good. Mantegna and Constantine also have great performances! The thrills is really good and the horror is also good with some gore. The movie is filmed very good. The music is good by Daniel Licht. The film is quite interesting and the movie really keeps you going until the end. <more> |

Wonderful Stephen King adaptation (by okvomit) |
This is a great movie with a lot of re-play-ability potential. I didn't read the book, but I could almost Stephen Kind writing every line and every character's actions. What a fun-filled movie filled with suspense, intrigue, and loss. I loved this film, I am only sad I wasn't turned onto it sooner. It was one of the Horror Genre what-if's? by far. Loved it loved it loved it. Solid from the start to the finish. One of the best Stephen King books transposed into a film. Only the movies "Pet Semetary" and "Christine" moved me as much as this film did. <more> |

Great Stephen King movie! (by Dallas_Cowboys_Fan) |
This is a really great movie! It stayed true to the book by Stephen King writing as Richerad Bachman. Why does he do that? . Basically it's about Billy, who runs over a Gypsy. Her father takes revenge by putting a curse on him and the judge and lawyer that helped him get away with the murder . He has to chase the Gypsies around with the help of his friend. He gets too thin. Can he survive? I suggest you read the book first, then buy it or rent it. I love this movie! It might sound boring, but it really exciting. Just read it or watch it! Go on! Go buy it.Anita_Blake_Fan |
White man from town says take the curse off! (by Hey_Sweden) |
This engaging adaptation of the novel, which Stephen King wrote under his Richard Bachman pseudonym, stars the under rated Robert John Burke as Billy Halleck. Billy is a lawyer in Maine who happens to be grossly overweight. After he accidentally runs down an elderly Gypsy woman, his judge John Horton and cop Daniel von Bargen friends conspire to help Billy avoid any punishment. This infuriates the old womans' even more ancient father Michael Constantine, "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" , who places one of those old fashioned Gypsy curses on Billy. Stroking Billy's cheek, he <more> |
