Get this movie! (by sambridgers) |
What the heck are you doing reading this review instead of actually buying the movie? I preordered it on iTunes, and I didn't, for one second, regret spending my money on this. Humor, voices, characters, animation, music, they're all here at great. Jeffrey Combs reprises his role as the Question from Justice League Unlimited, so if anyone that's a fan of the DCAU and is interested in this film, go buy it now! |
A win for both Batman and Scooby-Doo (by jwwalrath-227-85487) |
For the unfamiliar, Batman: the Brave and the Bold was a cartoon that ran a few years ago. The show runners decided to make this one stand out from the other Batman cartoons by focusing on the more light-hearted comics of the 50s and 60s. What they produced was funny but smartly written show. When I heard they were doing a Batman/Scooby-Doo crossover, I was completely okay with that as the show and the current made-to-DVD films had very similar looks and feel to them. Seemed like a perfect fit, and it was. This should be a fun films for kids. It's bright, funny, and a solid plot and <more> |
Better then Batman and Harley Quinn (by WeAreLive) |
I am truly happy that we got to see Batman the Brave and the bold again. Diedrich Bader returns as the voice of Batman after 4 years. Unlike Batman and Harley Quinn this movie felt like it's original show and we didn't end up seeing inappropriate scenes.Overall this movie was just excellent and I am glad the mystery gang never had there clothes/Designs or personalities from Be Cool Scooby Doo! |
Jeffrey Combs, Velma as Robin, Batman & Scooby Doo! What's not to love? (by lennieh) |
If you want to have fun for an hour and a half, play spot the Easter egg, for both franchises and wallow in nostalgia, this is the film for you. Aimed squarely at Scooby fans and Brave and the Bold TV series fans, an ardent Batman aficionado will hate this, but kids and the young at heart, who long for a return of the silver age caped crusader will be in seventh heaven. I'll admit seeing Velma, out Carrie Kelley-ing Carrie Kelley, and take up the mantel of Robin was a high point, as was her character being allowed to shine in this story and NOT seeing Daphne be the damsel in distress with <more> |
I didn't expect this movie to be so much fun!! (by amerulaidil) |
Plot writing was great and hilarious. Seriously, Batman need to have crossover more with other Hanna Barbera property. Scooby Doo and the gang really add more fun and flavor in this movie. If this movie was shown at the cinema instead of the 2000 and 2004 version, then Scooby Doo legacy will be saved. |
