John Leguizamo has a small but important part- one of his first films and Tony Scott will use him again. Costner is best when he plays Costner. It was one of the first DVDs I ever bought. I can't say enough- rent or buy this film. Its a romantic film but interesting enough for guys as well. Just be ready for your girlfriend to weep at the end.

Kevin Costner and Stowe was marvelous and the man how stand out was none other than Anthony Quinn, I saw him Lion of Desert and several other movies and I think he did second best of his life after Loin of Desert in which he was best of his life.Tony Scott was excellent.Watch this movie and you will fall in love with 80's and 90's Hollywood cinema making and it was absolute brilliant, and I believe every one would agree with me.I believe we can indulge ourself in classic movie making after watching this movie.This movie was and always my one of the very few greatest love story of Love, Friendship, Loyalty, betray and forgiveness. Most important the nature of human relationship which can grow any where and under any circumstances and it don't see the outcome no matter how bad it would be. After all Loves prevail.The best part of the movie was the ending, and I must say today's Hollywood don't dare to make movies with such a bold ending in which they leave audience for more.

action movie. But I have come to feel cheated when the revenge theme is exploited for some inane black-and-white good-vs.-evil morality ploy that merely glamorizes violence for box office cash. But Revenge remains the best of the bunch because it is faithful to the way real violence is: costly for everyone. No pun intended. The love story is a bit trite. It's not very well developed, but it's memorable because of the directing. It's more of a lust story, and as such it works. He's an aloof ex-pilot, and she's...well, she's Madeleine Stowe. Costner is at his best here because he doesn't have a lot of lines. The lemon scene is a great reminder of what it's like to be in lust, or what it's like to be in a room with Madeleine Stowe. If it's actually love, it's because it's something they both have given up on. Madeleine easily develops the character of a beautiful woman in a paternalistic society.The rest of the movie is straightforward and simple, which is a great way to tell some stories.

almost laborious pace of the movie and certain scenes MAKES SENSE in the context of the movie. The violence does erupt quite suddenly and is very graphic, and Costner's acting, as always is wooden. I'm not a big fan of the man. But I'll be damn if Madeline Stowe isn't one of the most beautiful woman in cinema. It's a shame she hasn't done more movies. She has real talent and is easy on the eyes, too. Even in her deathbed scene, she's gorgeous to look at. Much props to Scott, whose later movies haven't been all that great, for this great entry into his portfolio. He should really consider going back to slow moving movies like this instead of the shoot'em up slam-bam movies he's been doing lately.

She experiences the heat in the slow slide of Costner's fingers, a passionate demand she couldn't help but respond to...The plot is really predictable, and there's real high tension in the first part, but multiple stabbings, shootings, and beatings in the second, as the husband enters a storm of insane fury against the lovers...'Revenge' is certainly a realm of brutality and pain, of love gone wrong and vengeance gone mad...

it's an intense film, and a awkward love story. If you can stomach blood and gore, and like to see Kevin Costner, it's a movie for you.

would attempt to steal his lovely young wife.This is a solid story, with strong characters, and fine acting all around. However, understand what this film is not. This is not a 'date movie', and not a 'happy' story, but it does indeed reflect real life, and how things do not always end up rosy in the end, or the way we want them. It simply tells a good story, something many films never seem to accomplish, and we get to come along for the ride. It's racy, violent, passionate and moving all wrapped into one. I felt an understanding of the love, pain, betrayal and yes the need for revenge. It was entertaining and an epic portrayal of love and pain.Overall rating: 8 out of 10.
