good (by robertofuiano) |
beautiful film. As to the usual one, the usual negative comments which talk about a classical film some years 80 which everyone does not like it to the nostalgic ones are met.Sure Heros that this film had to have a judgment in this site. In fact reviewers' good part has put a high vote to the previous episodes. Because this contrast? I know the reason. Since assumptive reviewers' good part favorably sees the past and as the past is "better" than the present they have given several credit to the preceding episodes being still the last episode more explosive and spectacular. <more> |
Absolutely Rib-Splitting! (by RJKriegar) |
This movie has got to be one of Eddie Murphys' all-time funniest!Bringing back, and expanding on the funniest characters in "THE NUTTY PROFESSOR" was brilliant.I can't imagine that anyone would be so uptight as to not see the humor in such blatantly rude and unacceptable social behavior. I mean, that's the point of it, after all.If you pay the least bit of attention the other people in the world around you, then the nuances of these "characters" who could be culled directly from a lot of peoples' photo albums or family reunions , are just too real to be <more> |
Even funnier than the first one... (by johnghaly) |
The Nutty Professor 2 is one of those rare family movies also part one and Mrs Doubtfire that can be viewed time and time again and still be very entertaining to watch. Like the first installment we see the brilliant Eddie Murphy acting the roles of no less than six characters, and how good a performance he produces. In a word his portrayal of the entire Klump family, bar Klump Junior, is amazing to say the least. The story is simple yet effective and anyone who really wants some serious laughter should look no further. What amazes me, is how such a funny film could have such a low rating <more> |
No mere stunt-- Murphy really delivers on 6 great roles. Great Flick!!! (by bopdog) |
Eddie Murphy is truly a genius. In his earlier movies he played, mostly, his smart-aleck, wiseguy playboy character, and that was often entertaining, and sometimes funny. In "Coming to America" back in the 80s, he played several roles, as did co-star Arsenio Hall. While that was funny, it came off more as a stunt. However, in the first "Nutty Professor" movie Murphy did, he demonstrated distinct, actual, likeable characters. I was truthfully surprised to find at the end of the movie during the credits that Murphy played all those women, and the effeminate white exercise <more> |
Hilarious once again (by Wyldesteele) |
I'm sorry to see many IMDb-users have not thought much of this excellent movie but then again, it's quite useless to argue what is funny and what is not. I just watched NP2 a second time and laughed my skinny ass off. Eddie's performance is CLASSIC and you totally forget that he's actually playing all of the family members. They're not Eddie anymore, they're the Klumps. I usually do not watch the "How this movie was made"-kind of extras, but this time I found myself making and exception and watching it made me appreciate Eddie's work even more. I knew it <more> |
Very, very funny (by claudonio) |
"Nutty Professor 2" is a very, very funny movie, it is Eddie Murphy's best and funniest film since "Dr. Dolittle" from 1998. Eddie Murphy plays six roles in this film, it is a real treat to watch him do his thing. Though the film goes the toilet humor route in parts it is still very funny and I recommend it . |
Back for another explosive funny round, Klump style (by videorama-759-859391) |
I must say this was a funny night at the movies, and for a sequel, this almost matched the original, but there was a lot of fun moments here, but this had more meat to it, than the predecessor. What I also appreciated was another fun family moment, around the dining table, here it's at a sizzler type place. It cracked me up, even in it's starting where we see silhouettes of the Klumps, about to do damage at this popular eatery, the fat's boy's mouth a human garbage disposal, and dispenser for soft serve. Grandma Klump was totally hysterical in the stripping scene. We spend <more> |
Entertaining enough sequel has some genuine laughs but it is quite a mess. (by hu675) |

Almost as Good as the Original (by aesgaard41) |
Eddie Murphy proves it time and time again that he knows comedy and he always goes the extra mile to be funny by playing half the cast himself. Reprising all of the first movie's characters and even much of the formula with body noises, hallucinations and jokes intact, the sequel actually has very little to tell it apart from the first other than the wonderful presence of Janet Jackson. Far sexier than Jada, she returns to her acting roots and even sings one of the songs in the soundtrack. Standing out of Eddie's way to let him do his thing, she provides the movie much of it's <more> |
