A timely message (by irvinetustin) |
I really enjoyed God's Not Dead 2. I enjoyed the first "God's Not Dead" film as well. The God's Not Dead films are similar in that they deal with how God and the Bible are received in the modern academic environment. God's Not Dead 1 dealt with the issue from the perspective of a Christian college student with a professor that is hostile to his faith. God's Not Dead 2 deals with a Christian high school teacher that has to deal with an angry school administration. The acting in both films is good and the story lines are very insightful and creative. I'm very <more> |
Amazing (by wassupmickey) |
It was exactly what I needed, when I needed. Very inspiring. Would watch again. Remember that we cast our votes with our money, this was the best $12.50 that I have spent to watch this film. I really believe that films like this are what is missing in society now a days- just a good film to inspire. When reading the reviews for this movie I think everyone is projecting their own biases Christians as well as Non- Christians and forget that we are here to review the film not each other. If there was anything I would change from the movie it would be nothing. I think that the director was really <more> |

Touched Me in Many Ways (by keicraig) |
This movie touched me in many ways; some humor, some tears, and a lot of inspiration. It is technically quit good, with above average acting, and many in it are "easy on the eyes". It's really a film best suited to encourage believers, and it does this perfectly. After the cowardly cave by our Governor in GA last week, this was the perfect movie to give me hope for a better tomorrow. I've seen firsthand the viciousness of the anti-Faith bigots, and this movie actually shows them in a more favorable light than I've seen many, many times. Prepare to stand for God, because <more> |
Heartwarming and uplifting small spoiler alert (by ashegroup) |
This film has some GREAT camera work, including some FABULOUS drone shots. The script was honest and true-to-life, and the acting was real and uncontrived. The message was Bibically-accurate for the very most part, and historically accurate to a fault. Two of my favourite authors whose books I've actually read appeared as expert witnesses: Lee Strobel "The Case for Christ: A Journalist's Personal Investigation of the Evidence for Jesus" and J. Warner Wallace "Cold-Case Christianity: A Homicide Detective Investigates the Claims of the Gospels" .This was a very, <more> |
Teacher's Prerogative (by jcraigwagner) |
As a former history teacher I was intrigued by how careful Ms. Wesley was in the classroom. The potential cruelty of others was played well as was Melissa Hart's well-held belief system. In our society those will clash. The writers intentionally had the strength of the story correct. However, the persecution could have been much more severe. Yes, low-budget, focused movie, but correctly presented. Though the protagonists were both on the television and on the streets, we see this type of protest in quite a lot of venues besides these. There will be those that belittle this for it's <more> |
Remarkable Movie (by spencerkberry) |
A fascinating sci-fi alternate reality thriller with a fundamental reality twist that would put Hitchcock and the writers of the Twilight Zone to shame. Imagine a world where Christians were victims of oppression and persecution in the United States. As hard as it may have been to conceive of such an outlandish alternate reality much less make a film about it , the team behind GND2 were Kubrickian in making this film. The idea itself is worth 10/10 stars on its own, all the way to its conclusion of an ordinary schoolteacher besting an Orwellian justice system. It puts everything in <more> |
Tight, well scripted courtroom drama (by corbett) |
This movie reflects an ongoing cultural battle as seen through the eyes of one community. Overall production values are very high. Acting ranges from good to great. Hart is perhaps the weakest link in an otherwise strong cast. Haley Orratia as Brooke is a solid presence throughout. Even Pat Boone at age 81, gives us a believable performance. The two lawyers present a strong and effective courtroom battle. Just like Part One, this movie is driven by an intelligent script as it explores issues on society, faith and politics. It cleverly continues with the cast of Part One providing us with <more> |
It was great (by wakefielddm) |
Unlike other Christian movies that one can say are "cheesy", this movie was directed very well. The acting was great, as well as the plot and the climax. I loved how the movie followed the lives of multiple people and joins them all together in the end. The only criticism that I have is it probably could have given a bit more background information or at least gone more into detail. There was a point in the beginning where I got really confused because the girl was mad at her parents because of how fast they moved on and how they pretended it never happened. The movie never <more> |
