| How one can rate this film less than 9/10 is beyond me... it may not be Wallace and Gromit, Wall E, Ratatouille, Storks or even the Minions, but it succeds on every level - it can easily compete with Pixar, Dreamworks or Aardman productions. the animation/character and background design is great, the music is very good, the voice actors are great as well and most importantly: the story/screenplay is excellent. parts of it may not be overly original, but overall it works very well, there's enough emotion, scares and music as well as strong themes. it actually is a 9/10 in my book, but <more> |

| Animation, music, character designs and writing not that great but who cares? The movie itself is great so why let the little things ruin it. The movie covers a lot of issues that preteens deal with and has a wonderful message to it. See the movie for what it really is, a coming of age story that teaches valuable lessons. |

| The movie are a animated action/fantasy story for the not too young kids. The story are well written and have nice progress and contains all the elements that should keep you entertained as a viewer. Be aware, if your kids are too young to watch Simpsons or South Park alone, you should also watch this movie together with them, belive me, you will enjoy it too. |

| I'm not sure why so many people are voting this so negatively. And honestly a lot of the reviews seem like the users didn't actually watch the movie. Let's go through the list of complaints from users... No spoilers.animation/cgi I thought it was perfect, cute and great and can even compete with some other big movies with this art style. Great colors, lines, borders, reflections, particles, hair... There's literally nothing to complain about the cgi/animation.characters/back story/development This is a relatively short movie. | My 2yo genuinely likes the movie. She constantly asks my wife and I to put on "house", because of the song. She mimics the whole movie and sings the soundtrack. I rated this movie based on how my daughter pays attention to it, and there's been plenty of Disney/Pixar movies she ignores.This movie touches on subjects of teens, cell phones, and that need to be liked. The message it sends is pretty good, take it or leave it.I don't personally enjoy it, but my daughter does and that's all that is important. |

| This is a fun modern animation the gnomes are cute and funny, the bad guys are evil but not scary. Not on the same level as Monster House or Gnomeo and Juliet but still a great watch. |
