greatest movie since air force 1 (by LPies7787) |
Without question, Harrison ford is the single greatest man of ours or any era. Often snubbed by the Academy, but never underestimated by his peers. I have heard a rumor that one time at a house party, the Pope introduced himself to Harrison Ford as "the man who is condemning you to eternal damnation". When Ford asked why, the Pope responded "for making me sit through 6 days, 7 nights!" Ford replied "that's funny", walked away calmly, and half an hour later, was seen launching his patented dive tackle across a 20 foot room when the unlucky recipient least <more> |
Harrison On Top (by mikewilliswrites) |
C'mon, all you armchair critics. Too old, too many plot lines, too too. Get a grip. Harrison Ford is our John Wayne; nobody said he was too old, too fat, blah-blah to play anything okay, except for the Roman guard that one time . The point of a movie is to entertain and that's what this film, FIREWLL, does and Harrison carries us right along side as he thwarts the bad guys and saves his family. With his adrenalin soaked shaking voice to the last scene of the "older" family man barely able to stand, his face reflecting every emotion from the, "What could have <more> |
Awesome movie! (by ofp857) |
Just saw the movie and loved every minute of it! Usually when there's a packed house of 800 or so people, you see a lot of moviegoers getting up to get popcorn, etc...I didn't see one person move from their seats the whole way thru! It's a great edge of your seat thriller! I haven't had this much fun from an action / thriller in a long time! You guys did an amazing job! I wish I could have worked on the movie with you all!! : Harrison, can't wait till the next movie! And that goes for the rest of the cast and of course awesome director, Richard Loncraine.Gabe DE kelaita <more> |
Harrison Ford is still an action star (by ladymetsjm) |
I'll have to say. When i first saw the trailer my first thought was "why doesn't this man just give up?". Hollywood Homicide wasn't exactly the greatest. But since my friend had free passes and the star himself was supposed to show up for a Q&A I went. WOW! The movie definitely surpassed my expectations. Harrison ford did an excellent job. The cinematography was fabulous. I enjoyed the way the scenes were shot trying to find the right words, but can't seem to do it justice . I know some folk are saying the children also did a great job, but, quite frankly Dakota <more> |
Solid action/adventure: cross between Patriot Games and Fugitive (by rajahspam) |
The movie starts with black-and-white surveillance tapes and fragmented voice-overs: Someone is watching Jack Stanfield. Jack has been working at a Seattle bank and knows his way around IP addresses, bank security, and wire transfers.Starting with Six Days Seven Nights 1998 , Harrison Ford has played some cheesy roles that fizzled. C'mon. Random Hearts? Hollywood Homicide? In Firewall, however, Director Richard Loncraine stages some intense scenes between Ford and villain Paul Bettany who played Geoffrey Chaucer in A Knight's Tale and the Surgeon in Master and Commander .The <more> |
Ford is Back! (by JACKAL-22) |
I was definitely impressed with Firewall. Yes, Harrison Ford has done this type of movie before, but it was great to see him make a quality action/thriller again. Ford proves at 63, he can still do these types of movies. Very entertaining movie overall. I think it is safe to say that he can still make another Indiana Jones movie, which I hope begins filming after his next movie, Manhunt. He looks great for his age, and I was amazed at the extent of the action sequences that he did. Great performances all around, especially Paul Bettany as the bad guy. Hopefully, Firewall will put to rest all <more> |
all i can say is Wow! (by wardp-1) |
FIREWALL-I wasn't expecting too much from this movie when i went to go see, and man was I in for the ride of my life. Firewall was filled with so much action, I couldn't stop watching. Right when i thought that i knew what was going to happen...BAM! something new gets thrown my way. If you are an action buff, then this is definitely the movie for you. Throughout the whole movie, it was great to see how Jack Stanfield Harrison Ford coped with all the problems, that Bill Cox Paul Bettany presents him with. I mean how does a man go through a day knowing that his family is being held <more> |
He Might be getting Old. But he's Still a Good Actor (by Montaya_111) |
Harrison For is getting old, there is absolutely no doubt about it, you could see that in Hollywood Homicide, and you definitely see it in Firewall. Yet somehow he still manages to pull off scenes that pit him against several young people and he still wins. Now it's a given that the tape is cut and he catches his breath, but you know what, he is still out there making movies, he is still doing action, and he is still very very good at it. The Movie was entertaining to watch, it is an excellent story, and done very intelligently. The ideas that they came up with in the story were mind <more> |
"I want to get you home, it's pizza night." (by classicsoncall) |
I'm usually better prepared to see a new theatrical release, having read a review or two and with some sense of plot from the trailers. I went into "Firewall" virtually cold, with only a hint of it's tale of computers and hacker security. Better than expected, the film delivers it's share of suspense and thrills, though balanced by some moments that leave you wondering if more credibility would have helped.Actually, more credibility probably would have left bank security chief Jack Stanfield Harrison Ford without a family. The main villain of the piece, Bill Cox Paul <more> |
