was played by an actor I haven't seen a lot, but will be much more in the near future.Good job Fire With Fire! Most people will not be disappointed for having watched this, in my opinion.

Hagen Vincent D'Onofrio , from this film, who is a Neo-Nazi out to kill people Particularly minorities and essentially create a "New World Order". The Hagen character is one of the most vile and evil characters you will ever find in a movie. In some ways he is worse, then "Slasher" because he is showed as a logical thinking individual instead of a psychopath, without showing some back story saying he was abused as a child or something to explain his actions. Against him is Long Beach, California fireman Jerry Coleman Josh Duhamel , who sees the murder of an African-American store owner and his son almost for fun In a way far worse than the murder of a Pakistani store owner in "Four Brothers." . Spoilers ahead: He essentially becomes Chuck Norris from "Invasion USA" to take out the gang, because he needs to protect himself and "The ones he loves" His fellow fireman and Talia Durham Rosario Dawson who is his handler in "Witness Protection" He is being hidden so he can testify in Court against the gang . Of course, early on when Jerry and Talia meet in New Orleans That is where he is being hidden she becomes his girlfriend Why else refer to herself as a "California Girl" but never visited there? . The best part is at the end where Jerry firetraps Hagen and the gang in their hideout and is watching them die, but unknown to him, they kidnapped Talia and he had to rescue her. In the ending she kills Hagen and the guy who kidnapped her, and she had to follow his earlier advice about "Trusting me, to get you out" He mentioned that in New Orleans and about how he understands everything about fire: Where to go And not to go etc . So the final scene shows them getting away, but where they end up is still a mystery? My guess is he goes back to being a fireman, and she transfers to Long Beach to be with him, but that is unsaid. I give it 9 of 10 stars. The main reason is "D'Onofrio, who steals every scene he is in. The biggest complaint in the lack of chemistry between Duhamel & Dawson. If that was there, I would have given it 10/10. No matter what, it is worth watching.

hearken back to the 80's when Bruce Willis was king. As I expected Bruce Willis was not in the film very much, just slightly more than a cameo, although he has some good lines and a particularly fun "bad-ass" scene of him beating up a thug easily. Fire with Fire is a terrific straight to DVD entry that is worthy of any action fans attention.Josh Duhamel leads the film expertly. He is a great leading man and holds his own in the film. He has terrific action scenes and brings an emotionally charged charisma to it. I have always liked him and I think he still has some big roles ahead of him. I wasn't entirely sold on Rosario Dawson as his romantic leading woman but as it turns out, she did a good job. Their chemistry together wasn't amazing but they both had good characters and it served the film well. Bruce Willis, as I mentioned, was sort of a background supporting character but he is good in the role. He has some powerful lines and some good scenes and as a huge Willis fan, I can watch him in just about anything. Vincent D'Onofrio was fantastic as the villain. He was old school 80's great action villain. He was evil to the core and a great antagonist. I was worried that like many action films he wouldn't get a really great ending to his villainy but there are no worries in that front because his death scene is A+! For those of you concerned that 50 Cent is in the film, or Rampage Jackson...they have blink or you'll miss it cameos as gang bangers.TV Director and stunt man David Barrett has had a lot of experience with action films and with great Television shows. So he knows how to tell a good story and he knows great action. I think you'll see him become more and more of a film director because he certainly has talent and an eye for this sort of thing. Before I knew where Barrett's background was, I thought Fire with Fire felt like a really good TV series or a start to something sort of like The Fugitive. This won't become a classic action flick, in fact it will likely be mostly forgotten but don't let that deter you because the film is actually well worth seeing and something action fans can warm up to. 8/10

not a top high rated movie but very Close in high rating. I give SOLID 8 rate. I want to see Josh be in more good movies. No, I am not gay.
