Mark Pavia's long-awaited return is finally here and it's as if he never left. He didn't miss a step since his vampire cult classic: The Night Flier. Fender Bender is a much simpler story, but that's what's great about it. Pavia is not trying to reinvent the genre. He is simply paying tribute to the great slasher flicks of the 1980's and he nailed it perfectly. This is a slasher flick and PROUD of it. I found this to be a highly enjoyable film. It's influenced by old-school horror films such as Halloween, among others. The camera work, cinematography and acting are all really good. The script might not be highly original or a masterpiece, but it does the job that it's intended to do and is really solid for what it is, it's not written as a massively serious, thought provoking drama, it is what it is, and what it is, is a very good film that is massively underrated and well worth checking out. Give it a go, you might like it, you might even love it!

I am thoroughly impressed with this movie, and even more so with the bluray. Why? Well, the bluray from Scream Factory happens to have a neat little feature where you can watch the movie as though you're watching a jacked up old VHS tape. With tracking issues included! How sweet is that.Oh, and let me count the ways that I love this movie. I love the plot and how the killer chooses his victims, I love the gimp outfit he wears haha and his weapon that looks to be a retractable knife with a car door handle. thoughts were fans of the genre. I dug the characters, they were pretty good, the main girl Makenzie Vega and the actor playing the killer Bill Sage being the obvious best. The music was great, the ending was great, this is just an all around great slasher movie. I do however have a few minor quibbles, such as, I would have liked to see a little more creativity when it came to the kills, and maybe a little more of a body count. Also, it would have been nice to see Hilary show a little bit more in that shower scene same goes for the girl in the opening scene . The movie could have benefited from a little more slasher sleaze. But those gripes don't stop this movie from getting a strong 8/10 rating.I highly recommend it. And it is a must own on bluray. All slasher movies should have the "dirty VHS feature."
