| Clive Owen and Jennifer Aniston are brilliant in the lead roles.Clive's American accent is faultless and you instantly just love him in this part. I think most people can connect to the characters and it's easy to see how things start to happen and then get out of control. Its a dark, psychological thriller and the story twists and turns and really keeps your attention throughout.There's a bit of everything for everyone in this film.It is beautifully shot and the locations are brilliant too. | Those who rated this movie under a 10 are misleading all who haven't seen it yet. It kept me literally on the edge of my seat from the minute it began to the second it concluded. With excellent performances given from both Jennifer Aniston and very sexy Clive Owen,this movie is the best I've seem in a while. The chemistry between to the two is amazing and it definitely shows a side of Jennifer that many have not seen. | Actually we watched the movie b/c the movie that we were going to watch was sold out. So we had no expectations or info about this movie except that it starred Jennifer Aniston. Which, truthfully I was highly doubtful that she'd be able to get out of her 'Rachel' image Anyways, at first it was hard to get into the movie, but after awhile I realized that my eyes were hooked to the screen and I was clenching the arms of the seat! | I was avoiding the film because of the lower ratings it had received but after several recommendations, I went and saw it and was surprisingly pleased with the whole film from start to finish. In my opinion, this could be very well one of the best thrillers of the year. The trailer for it really doesn't do it justice for what the movie really is; a dark, suspenseful, edge of your seat thriller. Jennifer Aniston does a great job breaking out of her Friends character that everyone associates her with and that so few sitcom actors have been able to do. | Derailed is a tight, smart, and dangerous movie about risks. Based on the novel by the same name, it's hard to believe the book could be much better.Jennifer Aniston gives a great performance, as does Clive Owen. The directing is spot on and the music is simple yet effective. One knock may be the film's cinematography; it looks like you've seen it or a movie like it before. Nothing special about the visual style. Beware though, this movie is serious in all aspects. It can be violent, foul-mouthed,and at times really thrilling. | Great movie, Clive Owen was brilliant and its a good change for Jennifer, pure fast paced entertainment, just what it was meant to be! I hope Jennifer does a lot more movies like this to get rid of the good girl type cast. I really liked RZA, his acting was great and his character was believable and very funny. The movie was fast and edge of the seat almost from the start. I found some parts predictable but that didn't ruin the movie for me. | At the beginning the movie seems to be dragging and just OK but the last hour is dynamic. Very climactic. Definitely not a movie to bring the kids to though. There is violence, sex, and foul language.It is a movie that I could watch again, but the mystery of not knowing is part of what makes it so great. Aniston was great. She was sassy and sophisticated, but you had to like her.There is so much to say, but I don't want to give anything away. I suggest seeing it, but maybe at home instead of the theater. |

| I'm not going to give a summary because everyone else's summaries are good, but I don't think the comments are doing the movie justice. The movie was pretty good by my standards. Sure not all of it was realistic like people on here are arguing about, but neither were movies like the Godfather. Yes there is a lot of foreshadowing, but if everyone who says it was predictable actually figured it out by the end, then I guess I'm losing my touch. Or maybe I just decided to do what you should do with some movies. Just sit back, take it for what it is, and let it entertain you. I <more> |

| I was initially attracted to this movie I usually stick to IMDb 7+ merely from a perverted desire to see Ms Aniston Lucinda Harris ravished - she's usually in "nice" roles. But even though I entered the film with a good idea of what was going to happen, and without high expectations - nice straight guy gets scammed by pretty lady into sex scandal, blackmail and potential ruin of his life follow - the execution and twists in the plot along with good acting kept me engrossed for its almost 2 hours.SPOILERS AHEAD Of course it's way over-the-top.
