Although humorous in parts this movie is by far one of the best horror films. I first watched this film when i was 7 years old and was scared out of my wits! I turned the electric off for months after!! In my opinion this is by far better than the original "Demons". This time it has more of a story line and is much more fast-paced.Obviously it has its faults but what horror movie suits everyone?!This movie has it all for me - frights a highlight is definitely the demon emerging from the t.v set and sally's transformation , surprises a child-demon and a little humour the <more>
"demon-dog" is still one of my favourite characters, always makes me smile If you like good old cheesy horror films then this is the film for you. If you are some-one who likes every little detail to be perfect then look for another film, this will not suit you.
On the real, even though this movie is a low budget film, all i can say that it wasn't that bad like everyone else think it is because i thought Dario did a good job on this film. I mean if you are a true horror freak then u wouldn't be complaining about it as much so hey i give it a ten! I have to say it is sad that Dario isn't as popular as George Romeo but hey as long as he knows he has his true fans then it is all good. I admire Dario Argento. Especially when his daughter comes out in this movie as a little girl. She is so pretty in Land of the Dead.On the real, even though <more>

Don't watch this film expecting Ingmar Bergman- watch it after an evening at the pub late at night after quite a few beers and you'll love it. Bobby Rhodes has to be the best horror actor ever!
A great sequel to a great film, regardless of the naysayers! (by TConway80)
Demoni 2 is a wonderful sequel to Lamberto Bava's Demoni. It is about a young woman who becomes a demon on her 16th birthday and then proceeds to turn everyone in her high-rise building into more demons! It has a fun, goofy feeling to it, they spare no victims even children! , and the soundtrack is great. While most people try to compare it to the original, this film is best viewed on its own. Forget the comparisons and enjoy Demoni 2 for what it is - a grand 80s monster movie with a lot of style and excitement.I love this movie and watch it very often. The DVD is bare-bones, but still <more>
has some great extras on it.If you're a fan of splatter, pick it up!!!
The first Demons is a great horror movie See my review so I watched the sequel and it was quite good. Similar to the first film in some ways but taking place in a apartment complex instead of a movie theatre. The Demons come out of a TV and possess a 16 year old girl who then attacks her guests at her party and of course spreading the nightmare. The Demons then roam the complex killing anyone in sight as the people inside try to escape since the doors are locked during the attack. Not a bad film, the gore is good and the plot is OK. Check it out if you like the first.
Solid follow up to a great "zombie" film (by Blaine-4)
While not as good as the first, it was very well done and had some effective and impressive special effects. One thing that definitely help is that you actually care for most of the main characters, for as long as they live anyway. Beautiful makeup effects if demons can be called beautiful .
demons 2 offers more than demons 1 (by marymorrissey)
yeah whats up with everyone being so caviar critic and hating this film while adoring demons. I think if they all went back and watched the first one they might rethink. certainly one of the most fun things about this film is the 80s stylings. and the opening is so great the way it draws you into the many story lines. sorry David knight was one of those argento babes you never get to see in another film but he also did loads of international male catalogues, there also used to be this rumor that he married jason gould. anyway. sally is the best too, she's practically a demon from the very <more>
start before anything happens really delightful and the best thing about this film is how irrepressibly EIGHTIES it is, who needs heavy metal when the smiths are heard!? and I can't believe none of you hounds has mentioned asia's presence in the film!!!! one thing I find funny is the exterior of the building I mean no apartment building looks like that that is a hideous 80s OFFICE building and is made into an apartment as one of many details just to lampoon the whole era ahead of its time rather presciently I think!
A luxury high-rise apartment complex gets overrun by deadly demonic subhuman monsters who embark on your usual vicious killing spree. That's about it for the skimpy plot, but what this uproariously idiotic cheesefest lacks in substance and tension plenty, to be brutally honest it more than compensates for in sheer jaw-dropping unintentional hilarity. Director/co-writer Lamberto Bava shows a winning dearth of competence throughout as the story becomes more increasingly inane and gut-busting as it unfolds, with such gloriously inane highlights as a birthday party which degenerates into a <more>
bloodbath, a woman attacked in her apartment by her savage possessed dog, a hokey demon puppet bursting out of a little boy's stomach, whiny party gal Sally the pretty Coralina Cataldi-Tassoni taking a massive licking, but keeps on ticking, a gaggle of dim-witted male and female body builders with an appalling lack of intelligence, an underground parking garage littered with axes and a shotgun, and pregnant damsel in distress Hannah the fetching Nancy Brilli going into labor at a most inopportune moment. A very young and cute Asia Argento makes her film debut as imperiled teen Ingrid while the almighty Bobby Rhodes cops the top acting honors as take-charge macho gym instructor Hank and David Knight contributes a likable turn as resourceful hero George. The inevitable cruddy dubbing, a ramshackle narrative that shamelessly rips off riffs from "Shivers," "Alien," "Gremlins," and "Videodrome," a thrashy'n'trashy blaring hard rock score, and the tacky make-up f/x further add to the considerable clunky charm of this absolute tacky hoot.
I loved the first one, this one is still surprisingly good. It's an 80s low-budget Italian horror movie and it was an entertaining one and very gruesome. It has a terrible makeups as from the first one, but they did totally awesome jobs. Some of the scenes are really terrifying, especially the dog scene which is a bit similar of that scene from The Thing. I can imagine it gave the '80s kids a nightmares, it was actually pretty scary, even scarier than the original. All I have to say that I really, really enjoyed it. This was a pretty brutal movie. My rating: 8.5/10.
