I loved it. I watched it with my girlfriend and she thought it was good too. I can relate to the whole dating land mine thing, so true. Keep an eye on Laura Vandervoort and Cory Grant, two up and coming stars for sure. Great story and writing, felt normal and real as I worked in a Coffee house for a while, this kind of stuff happens.

Loved it! (by mikedietzweb)
Great movie! Funny and sweet with a great cast. Love the fact that it had new breakout actors who were awesome, plus how can you NOT love Jon Lovitz? Stole all his scenes and is hilarious. Beautifully shot in some cool small town in the south, it had just a neat vibe to it without trying to be "hip." Natural and organic instead of forced. Really nice movie, great message about love and not giving up.
I enjoyed watching this movie because of its sweetness and general feel-good vibes. If you are looking for an epic movie that will be remembered throughout all time... this is not for you. But if you are looking for an easy to watch, romantic and slightly cheesy movie for a girls night-in... this is just right!
Fun rom-com with real chemistry and great cast (by twin-6)
I really enjoyed this sweet, fun romantic comedy. I felt like this Coffee Shop was a place I'd love to go and the people there I'd enjoy hanging out with. It has the perfect mix of story, romance, a beautiful location and wonderful cast. Laura Vandervoort and Cory M. Grant have such believable chemistry and Jon Lovitz is hilarious. I also loved the music.
Enjoyable family friendly movie (by contact-562-20249)
Enjoyable family friendly movie. Especially worth seeing because of Laura Vandervoort. Makes you wonder why she wasn't a major star?
Simple, pleasant entertainment (by Dan-121)
As made-for-TV romantic comedies go, this is one of the better ones that I have seen. The story is simple but surprisingly smart and even realistic. The characters all feel genuine.Basically, the story revolves around Donavan, a coffee shop owner, who has been unlucky in love. Just when her shop faces the threat of foreclosure, she meets Ben, a playwright who is in town, at the invitation of a mutual acquaintance, looking for inspiration for his next play. After an awkward but amusing misunderstanding between the two, sparks begin to fly. However, before anything further develops, <more>
Donavan's ex, Patrick, returns to town. Patrick is back in town to help Donavan with her financial troubles with the hopes of rekindling his relationship with Donavan. Meanwhile, with each encounter with Donavan in town, Ben finds himself increasingly unable to resist Donavan's charm. Will Donavan end up with Patrick or Ben? The handsome Cory M. Grant and beautiful Laura Vandervoort are amiable and there is sufficiently palpable chemistry between the two to make this movie an enjoyable watch. The supporting cast is also good without any clichéd characters. All in all, this is a simple and pleasantly entertaining romantic movie. 8 out of 10
a 'Coffee Shop' brings all walks of life together (by dealtrendz)
now a days, a coffee shop is a meeting place for friends, family and lovers.. a coffee shop is there to inspire us before our next adventure.. a coffee shop gives us pleasure as a hot beverage brings warmth in our hearts and peace of mind in our soul.. casting directors found the right combination of actors/actresses for this film.. love how a woman once loved a man from the past but ended up with the right one in present day.. you see, a 'Coffee Shop' is where connections are made everyday.. no matter what race you are we are all a unique blend.. life doesn't have to be <more>
complicated.. we surround ourselves in what has made us human.. coffee is a characteristic of our mankind/womankind on Earth where we live and is our home.. so in all, this movie 'Coffee Shop 2014 ' at Donavan's is where all walks of life come together... --- movie review by elektrikradiance http://elektrikradiance.promodj.com
After reading the reviews I felt like the movie needed more positive ones as well. It's a cute romantic comedy about a struggling coffee shop owner. Yes, it's predictable as in every hallmark-type movie who she would end with a really handsome actor, by the way, googled him but sadly he has made not many movies and the conflict maybe is a little foney, but still it was pleasant to watch. If you're looking for a sweet romance without much deepness to entertain yourself, this one can be a good option.
