Do you like suspense? how about twists & turns. well then this is your movie. It's brilliant with great acting from both staring actor and supporting actor. Star actor Christian Slater supporting actor Donald Sutherland captivated me with deep depth and realism. The plot based on a shocking conspiracy yet keeps a real life approach through the entire story. Each actor relates to each character through out entire story slowly providing depth, while at the same time throwing you into suspense. Over all it was good movie. I in my opinion think it should be rated higher. I will <more>
defiantly recommend .If you are looking for a action/suspense, Then give this one a try. 10/10.RV
This is one of the best movies in recent decades, all the fuss about movies like Shawshank Redemption being on top, this is the real Oscar contender. His captivating role in this film builds up such an enticing atmosphere, by his role, you all know who I'm talking about. The Slater. The S Man. The one actor that should get the Oscar. No. That DESERVES an Oscar for his award winning performances in movies such as this, and the classic Lies and Illusions. Which I also gave a 10/10. No surprise there. Anyway, this is one of the best films of our generation. And I haven't even seen it! <more>
Okay, first let me admit that this is NOT a 10 out of 10 film... However, I felt it necessary to balance the 1 out of 10 that so many reviewers gave. That being said, I would probably give this film a 6 or 7. Sure it isn't the best overall film that I have seen, but it does have its merits and it is obvious that a great deal of thought & care went into making this film! Being a westerner, I pose this question... "How cool would it be to see a film shot entirely in Bulgaria?!" As adyankov from Bulgaria states, "This movie really was made for a Bulgarian audience and <more>
features all sorts of coy little inside jokes in the plot"After seeing this film I now have great interest in going to Sofia, Bulgaria!Further, if one can just let go of expectations and watch the film for what it is, it can be a Beautiful experience! I enjoyed watching Elika & Donald -- and I have always been a sucker for Christian Slater. As far as the 'Belly Dancing' goes -- there is the dancing with the main dancer that Christian's character eyes, to me it is much like watching the old time James Bond movie s . "Sometimes 'Less- is- More'!"To find out more, I recommend reading the review by 'adyankov from Bulgaria'!
According to me, this is good movie. I like it. The acting from the pro's is perfect, the story is 10/10. Just didn't like when the killer act like a robot. Had to kill the dog!!! This is not pointless as some think is. Cheap, yes. But with that budget... this is magic. I understand that you didn't understand the movie because it is not in English, but till the end of the movie, I couldn't believe it's the same actress in all three roles. For Bulgarian movie, it is perfect. Just a little thing. It is Bulgarian movie, but it has soundtrack named "Macedonian Girl", <more>
which can be heard around 19 minuet and like final song at the credits :
A Great But Upsetting Assassin Thriller (by tabuno)
20 August 2014. It's really hard to describe and judge this movie because it's really quite frustrating and upsetting and disappointing but not in a theatrical way movie and particularly without giving some of the plot away. Thus the necessary spoilers with the commentary. It's understandable why some would dislike this movie, especially as to how it turns out. But this psychological thriller has its own appealing qualities as a mystery thriller and its twist/reveal. Unlike Point of No Return 1993 , there isn't that quaint American stylish ending. In this movie there is <more>
more of the existential angst of the European flavor consistent with the Bulgarian locale. This movie might be more identified with a European version of technique and identify confusion of The Bourne Identity 2002 combined with technique of young female protagonist in Hanna 2011 and the psychological twist of the sci fi Oblivion 2013 . This movie might compare well with Japanese assassin movie with its strong female character in Beyond Hyperthermia 1996 . One might also find parallels with Ann Hathaway's character in Passenger's 2008 or DeCaprio's character in Shutter Island 2010 with overtones of Momento 2000 or even Christian Slater's own experience with his brilliant performance and character in He Was A Quiet Man 2007 . The ending might be as dramatic as Dogville 2004 .This movie is appealing and thrilling especially if one focuses on the female presentations in this movie and less on Christian Slater's character, especially since the female actress Elika Portnoy wrote the story behind the movie. Think the television series Alias and the disappointment factor won't be so yucky.
